CirePOS Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cire Technologies ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the CirePOS mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using CirePOS you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and business details (business name, business type, and business location) that you provide when registering or managing your account.
• Business data you enter: products, inventory, prices, sales transactions, customers (where you choose to record them), and expenses you record in the app.
• Payment information: when you subscribe, your Vodacom M-Pesa phone number is used to process the payment. We do not collect or store your M-Pesa PIN or any card numbers.
• Camera: the camera is used only to scan product barcodes. Barcode scanning is performed on your device; we do not store or transmit camera images.

2. How we use your information

• To provide and operate the point-of-sale and inventory features.
• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To process subscription payments and keep your subscription status up to date.
• To send service emails such as password-reset links.
• To provide customer support and improve the Service.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only with:

• Payment provider (Vodacom M-Pesa) — to process subscription payments you initiate.
• Infrastructure providers that host our servers and database, under confidentiality obligations and only to operate the Service.
• Legal authorities, where required by applicable law.

4. Data security

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Account passwords are stored using one-way hashing and are never stored in plain text. Access to data is restricted to your business account.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete Account), which permanently removes your business's data. You may also request deletion by emailing hello@ciretechnologies.co.tz.

6. Children

CirePOS is a business tool intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
